Photolucida
An event involving hundreds of photographers, reviewers, staff, and volunteers, the Portfolio Review event is based on almost 3,000 scheduled face-to-face conversations and large-scale gatherings (Portfolio Walk, Photobook Fair, Closing Party, etc.) involving both participants and the Portland public. Approximately 90% of our participants travel from outside of Portland, both nationally and internationally. With no way to guarantee the safety of all participants, we feel that it is not realistic to attempt to organize this event at this time.
Photolucida is a small, economically marginal nonprofit arts organization, and not being able to produce this event is a loss of over 50% of our yearly income. Please tune in over the next few months to learn about some alternative programming encouraging community and connections, including our online auction event on March 1 – 21!
